Grave B43. Son of the late Lt Col W.R. Fox (Royal Field Artillery) and Geraldyne Amelia, his wife. Husband of Maude Fox, of 28, Cyril Mansion, Princes of Wales Rd, Battersea, London. Formerly Lieutenant Cape Mounted Rifles. Served in the South African campaign (Queen's and King's Medal with 6 clasps) (Source : C.W.G.C.). Registered on the Roll of South Africans who fell 1914-1918 edited after the War by the South African authorities. 1st Battalion, Dorsetshire Regiment (14th Brigade, 32nd Division) Killed in action on the 6th February 1917. Operations in North of Beaucourt. Age 47 |
