THE SIXTH DAY 

Work of Danie de Jager, this fresco depicts a group of South African soldiers leaving the remnants of the wood, on the 20th July 1916, after a five days fierce fighting.

The following room reminds the life and fighting conditions of the Western Front. Amongst others items, the showcase displays relics of the battle found in the wood and during the building of the Museum.
